The story of how launcher fragmentation and endless Discord debates turned into a unified gaming ecosystem.
Creator of AOF.gg
Hey everyone. My name is Bo, and I love video games.
The idea behind AOF.gg grew out of two frustrations every gamer knows all too well. The first is those classic nights on Discord when you get together with friends to play, spend an hour debating what to launch, dig through each other's libraries across different launchers, and end up going to sleep without playing anything at all.
The second is how much time gets wasted just trying to find specific, reliable information about a game. Whether you're looking for a patch date, clean news without clickbait, a solid build, or an answer to a simple question, you end up fighting through a dozen browser tabs, ad-bloated wiki sites, and endless Discord chat streams where the answer you needed got buried yesterday.
At some point, I just wanted to bring all of this together into one clean, comfortable place — first for myself and my friends, and then for everyone else who deals with the exact same pain.
At this stage, AOF.gg is my pet project and hobby that I build and improve in my spare time outside of my day job. There are definitely still rough edges and bugs here and there, but the project lives and grows every single day.
Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and try out the platform. I truly appreciate any constructive feedback, ideas, and bug reports — they're what help make this project better.
Right now, your feedback, ideas, and bug reports are far more important than monetization. If the project proves interesting and useful to the community, I will consider Discord-style monetization options in the future (profile customization and visual cosmetics) while keeping all core features free.
Streamers, creators, and gaming media: reach out to contact@aof.gg with a link to your channel or resource — we'll gladly grant you access to the platform.
